A. P. Biology is an advanced second year laboratory course in biology that is equivalent to a first year college Biology course. This course presents an in-depth study of all aspects of biology. Students in this class will develop their critical thinking skills, writing skills, and investigative lab skills. The major goals for students in this class are:
Biological systems utilize free energy and molecular building blocks to grow, to reproduce and to maintain dynamic homeostasis.
EnergyLiving systems store, retrieve, transmit and respond to information essential to life processes.
Biological systems interact, and these systems and their interactions possess complex properties.
